Inspired by its commitment to local food and sustainability, as well as its abundant sources of delicious home grown flavor, Humble is incredibly proud to be offering pies in Southern Wisconsin. Sisters and co-owners Shelly Cross and Jill Long believe that this area has so much to offer in terms of providing a blueprint for living a thoughtful, responsible and mindful life. In light of this, they hope that they can also influence this community, in their own small way, by introducing Dane County to the rich, soulful tradition of Southern pie making--the pies they ate growing up in the South. Humble’s pies are made from locally-sourced, farm-fresh ingredients whenever possible. Their flaky crusts are wrapped around fragrant fillings made from traditional recipes (and some not so traditional!) tweaked for the modern palette.
